The "restored art deco lobby", "darling cafe and wonderful bar and restaurant" are the "special attractions" of this spot with "plush", "comfortable" rooms and a "friendly staff"; bathrooms are "very small" but come stocked with Aveda products and "oversize bath towels and robes", but a few take issue with the "fringe neighborhood" near Marquette University that's "20 blocks from Downtown."

Gorgeous art deco building-spectacular room.

Location wasn't the best, but I wasn't planning on walking anywhere.

This was one of the nicest hotel rooms I have stayed in. Spotless, spacious, VERY comfortable bed, beautiful art deco building. Surrounding neighborhood.

Located on the outskirt of downtown. Surrounding neighborhood could intimidate you. But no worries. You park your vehicle (at no charge) in the hotel lot and leave it the entire time you're there. The free shuttle service is amazing and will take you just about anywhere you need to go. Responsive and super friendly. The entire hotel staff was fantastic! I would definitely stay again! The room was wonderful -- extremely spacious!

The location was very poor.

I was in town for overnight business, and the Ambassador hotel was very business friendly. The concierge helped plan activities for my evening and even had driving directions printed out upon check-in. Parking was free, free WiFi, and wonderfully spacious rooms (plush bedding and great climate controlled rooms).
